When you reflect inward, what are some of the achievements you are still aiming for?
Often times, we find ourselves promising ourselves that we will be better, do more, feel more, and accomplish things we feel are important. Like a new years resolution, we often take a vow that we will work towards goals as we declare all of the ways we want to improve, create opportunities for ourselves, and feel stronger.
Like many news years resolutions, the promises we make ourselves, ones we make because we know deep down they are important, can seem far away when life gets busy and at times things feel heavy.
The important thing however, is to remember that the integrity from keeping your resolutions and promises you make for yourself does not disappear when your efforts towards them slow down. What truly matters and what it truly means to honor those promises is to never let your dreams and your goals become whispers or simply words that were said long ago, neglected or lost.
While a triumph might not be on the immediate horizon or the mountain top might not be reached today, as long as you are still climbing (even if only a few steps a week) that means that you are still holding on to the dreams and goals you in your heart. Moving forward, with little victories and accomplishments (no matter how small) means that the promises you made yourself are still occupying a place in your life and the opportunity to accomplish you dreams is still in the process of being molded.
I encourage you today, to value the little victories in your life no matter how big or how small. I encourage you to never abandon your dreams or promises because you are worth the commitment. Hold onto your dreams tightly and keep moving forward.
